We have recently been made aware of scammers calling and texting non-customers claiming to be from Republic Finance. The calls and texts are usually coming from a (225) area code, which is the same area code as our Home Office. In the scam calls and texts to non-customers, the scammers typically state something like “you are approved for a loan in the amount of $XXXX for a term of X”. The scammers then ask for personal information, such as a Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and Bank Account Information. The scammers also sometimes ask for a small payment to have the full loan amount deposited into your bank account.

DO NOT give out any personal information to these scam callers/texters! Republic Finance does not process loans in this manner. If you receive what you believe to be one of these scam calls or texts, please do the following:

  1. Hang up the call or do not respond to the text.

  1. Call Republic Finance’s Customer Service Department at (833) 907-1734 to report the scam call/text.
